Suzhou is the epicentre of maybe the largest industrial region on the planet: the Yangtze River Delta, a megaregion with more than 240 million inhabitants. As you probably already know, since 2024 the country has become the world’s largest market for industrial robots, with 295,000 units, a 54% of the global, and more than 2 million of them in operation.
However, the most important lesson I’ve learned in Suzhou isn’t about this huge productivity, but about us as humans: today, there are machines that are now building machines. And that trully makes me rethink.
